New studies support conclusions
of the IPPC 2001 Report that there was a 'high confidence'
of a climate impact on species.
The studies (Nature
vol 421, p42 & p57) show frogs are breeding, flowers are
blooming and birds are migrating 2-3 days earlier each decade.
Also, butterflies, birds and plants are moving toward the
poles by over 6 kilometres a decade.
Having static conservation strategies while the plants and
animals are moving away is a recipe for extinctions.
