Learning Outcomes


At the end of this activity, you will be able to
· Identify Good Practices
· Suggest improvements to reduce environmental impact
· Contribute to work place improvements


Assessment Criteria
You will provide
· Completed plant mark table
· Draft letter to responsible person recomending improvement
· Minutes of group discussions identifying individual candidate's contribution.

Task:

  1. Carry out the plant marking exercise below.
    Evaluate where your workplace is for each criteria.

  2. After completing your plant mark, make an overall evaluation of your workplace or organisation by allocating

    1 for Nothing, 2 for Aware, 3 for Practice, 4 for Advanced, 5 for Full Marks

  3. Suggest how you could improve three of the plant mark scores.

  4. Prepare a draft letter to responsible person (manager, team leader, union branch) at work promoting one of the suggestions. Explain why this is an opportunity for the organisation as well as helping lesson the environmental impact.

    This provides evidence towards Unit 3: Communicate suggestions for improvement at work
