IMPACTS
Spring 2007
Dear Contact,

Global warming: warmer and wetter? April 2007 was the warmest April ever in the UK- based on the Central England Temperature (CET) records dating back to 1659.

Counting Carbon. Suddenly all the governments of the world seem genuinely interested in carbon dioxide emissions. We put it down to Davros. And we reckon there is going to be an awful lot of debate about carbon emissions, omissions, footprints, labels, offsets etc. While this reduces all environmental matters to a carbon molecule, it does enable people to do more than they felt with "sustainable development". They can measure, monitor, count, calculate carbon. graphic:black smoke- link to carbon counter Carbon is easier to measure and manage than "sustainability". We want everybody - especially those at work in organisations trying to demonstrate carbon reductions, to be confident enough to find out what is going on, and know what to do.
We are opening a new site to help them, called "Carbon Counter" (will be www.carboncounter.info from July 07) which you can see now at www.epaw.co.uk/carbon

Use our Online Databases to help organise progress in your organisation. We are linking all our programmes into our database so our clients can interrogate responses form employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. Try out this facility and see the potential uses within your own organisation. Ask us how we can tailor the database functions to meet your specific needs.

Sustainable Food Site - Our sustainable food site, remains No 1 when you google "sustainable food", despite being bumped off for a week or two, and DEFRA breathing down neck! We provide up to date information of developments particularly in the UK. The Google muncher-monster LIKES text but LOVES links, so please help us to remain at No 1 by adding a link to us from your site. Thank you.
