Carbon and fat
As the human race, we should be running faster.
Many humans are eating too much and/or not exercising enough. While nearly a billion people go hungry, another billion people are overweight - either fat or obese. The health implications are enormous with an expected 150,000 people per year in UK expected to die prematurely due to obesity related disorders such as diabetes. That is more than due to smoking (100,000 ), alcohol consumption (20,000) or asbestos exposure (3,000 +).

CARBON COUNTER
One way to stop carbon emissions, although not one we would recommend, is to get fat. It has been calculated that in the US between 1994 and 2002, about a million extra tonnes of fat was added to the collective american skeleton. As fat is about 3/4 carbon, this means US citizens 'sequestered' nearly three million tonnes of carbon dioxide about their person (US emits about 1500mt in total).
