Co-operative Retail Banned Pesticide List These are active ingredients that must not be used Co-operative Retail Prohibited Pesticide List Active ingredients from the Co-operative Retail prohibited list (RED) must NOT be used. In exceptional circumstances, following discussions with Co-operative Retail, a Derogation (similar to that used by PSD & Forestry Steward Council) may be granted for the limited use of a prohibited pesticide on a specific crop, providing strict controls are adhered to and an exit strategy has been developed. A derogation will only be supplied if clear evidence of need for use is provided. Co-operative Retail Monitored Pesticide List Active ingredients listed in the Co-operative Retail monitored pesticide (AMBER) list can be used by growers. To fully justify the use of a pesticide on this list, all viable alternatives must be considered with preference given to the use of more benign chemicals or non-chemical alternatives. Growers must be able to provide clear documented justification for use of any active ingredient used from the list on request by Co-operative Retail.
