Growers: People who grow and harvest produce - to Farm Gate Look at your inventory, orders and store of pesticides Identify use of any Co-operative prohibited or monitored pesticide. Check local law Collect records of pesticide use (legal requirement in UK) Seek advise for alternative practices - cultural, biological, or chemical Spell out priorities Identify benefits eg: Supply chain & neighbour relations, improved health & safety
Agronomist: People who advise and support growers to comply with Co-operative Criteria Identify pesticides Approved for use on crop. Familiarise with Co-operative Prohibited and resticted lists - and how these relate to other schemes (Approved/Assurance Help identify priorities Advise various ways to reduce usage Suggest targets working with growers and suppliers Help growers and suppliers to identify benefits
