Sustainable Food Purchasing Managers should have completed forms from each of the suppliers:

Put key guidelines in and ask them to sign

Can the supplier provide the following information:

  1. Where does it come from?
    Country region and eventually farm and how far
    have each ingredient come
    - manufactured product may up to 20 ingredients!
  2. How do demonstrate compliance?
    Certificate
    Audit trail,
    Other independent certificates even if not directly relevant
  3. Can you test?
    GM free, antibiotic residues
  4. Is there an organic version available?
