NEWS  - Consultations

There are three serious consultations in process at present...
1. EFRA Select Committee has new inquiry into UK Food Security - How do we increase UK food production - sustainably?. Comment by Jan 22. We think this is just about the most important topic and glad to see that at last it is on the agenda. We are keeping a log of developments and submissions to the Select Committee inquiry.
2. National Occupational Standards for Environmental Management LANTRA Consulation. These spell out what environmental managers should be able to do. Responses need to be in by Jan 9. One outstanding issue - should these EM Standards include "Level 3" standards for supervisors / union reps to know what they c/should do?
graphic:fist 3. Should NHS adopt Ethical Trading Inititiative? The government has identified 'the important role that freer and fairer trade can play in improving health and welfare worldwide'. PASA Consultation till the end of April. Have a look at our CSR Planner on Work - based on the ETI Base Code, itself based on ILO Conventions.
Corporate Social Responsibility Planner
