Industrial Ecology - 4

Industrial ecology provides a framework for thinking systematically about environmental problems. It looks at the flow of energy and materials through industrial systems: firms, industries, or industrial society as a whole. This is key to moving towards industrial systems that are sustainable. When applying industrial ecology to companies, we consider environment and technology over the full life-cycle of the service provided.

When applied to public policy, we examine where problems may be occurring, and we design policy measures that promote technological innovation and reduce environmental impacts.
