ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS - determine significance
Question 3 |
Do you have procedures in place to ensure compliance with environmental legislation? |
YES |
NO |
Procedures need to be in place to ensure your organisation complies with legislation, regulations and any industry codes of practice to which it subscribes. These are control mechanisms designed to describe the way activities should be carried out in order not to breach legislation. Staff carrying out activities which are covered by legislation need to have adequate training and be competent to do their job without compromising the organisation's legal compliance.
Training and competece of employees is covered here later in the programme.
