ACTIVITY 3.4 - Social STEP

At the end of this activity, you will be able to
· Recognise how social factors influence environmental improvements.
· Develop your next STEP

Assessment Criteria
You will
. Put your plan other people at work
· Record comments from people who may be affected by change

Task:

First identify who may be affected by your plan to implement an Environmental Practice and what their potential role may be.

Approach one of the people you identified, who may be any one of the following:
colleague, manager,somebody with reponsibility for environment, trade union representative.

Give them a summary of the main environmental principles involved in your plan.

Explain what you intend to them. Make notes of the main points of their response and get them to sign a witness statement that you have discussed the matter with them.

Make sure the person you spoke with signs the witness statement.
