You
will look at the nine main environmental principles. You are
expected to see how each of these principles of environmental
protection
reduces impacts, and recognise them in action at work.
They are arranged in an order that reflects their relation
to the work process.

The
Precautionary Principle questions whether the process should
be present, Cleaner Production says the process should be
cleaned up. Resource Use brings in wider aspects of the process,
and looks at Efficiency in Energy, and Water Control. The
Waste Hierachy picks up with the end products andEnvironmental
Management organises the whole process, while Environmental
Conservation looks outside the work and improves biodiversity.
Eco-Design considers natural impacts at the design stage.
