Guide to Unit 3

You will look at what is being done by other companies. You will search the UK government's main web source of information about how companies put environmental protection principles into practices. This will help you to make improvements.

When you have decided the environmental practices you intend to implement, you start to put your plan into action. You will have to make out a case, that explains the practice, the environmental principles involved, and how the practices reduce the impacts on the environment.

To do this, you will use a STEP approach to flesh out your plan and prepare you for implemention.

You will consider the Social aspects, who may be affected. You will contact them and outline your ideas to them and ask for their comments so that you can amend your idea accordingly.

next you identify the Technical steps involved in your plan to implemtn environmental practices. Have you considered whether any specific equipment you may need is available?

Your plan will expand by taking into account the Economic aspects. This means making an assessment of the costs and benefits of your proposal - in economic terms.

Finally you will spell out how to implement your suggestion for an environmental Practice.
