Guide to Working with Learning Support Materials 1. Download your blank portfolio. Save it to a folder of your choice e.g. c:\Level3 As you progress through the learning programme, you can save any screen to this portfolio. At appropriate places, you will be prompted to 'capture the screen'. Hit the PrtScn button (usually top right of your keyboard). You have now saved your present screen, so that when you go to your Portfolio and find the appropriate place (according to Unit Learning Outcome), you will "paste" this PrintScreen by clicking Ctrl + V together. Try it now. 3. Look at the "Support" structure in left hand navigation, where you can find defintions an internal search engine and resources.
4. As you read through the text, you will find many hyperlinked words - these link to more information. You do NOT need to read the linked pages, but you may find them useful if you want to find out more. The web pages already open in the programme do need to be examined. 5. Unit 1 is about what you need to know. Go through Unit 1 following each Learning Outcome. need to know. Spend about 2 hours on each Learning Outcome (LO). At the end of LO there is a short check yo see what you have learnt. At the end of the Unit, you will find a fuller self test to check your learning. 6. Unit 2 is all about what you need to do. You apply your learning to practical situations. 7. Bookmark/Favourite (or Click Control + D ) to mark where you left the programme so you can return to the same place. |
