4. It may be possible to progress to level 4 awards. Level 4 awards are for managers, those people with responsibilities of other staff. There are NVQs at this level in Environmental and Energy Management.

There are also a number of professional awards in environmental management, in particular those awarded by IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Auditing).

5. The Environmental Practitioner Programme™, properly assessed, is about equivalent to an "A" Level. This can help you access University Courses. The most appropriate Open University course for further progression would be Open University T 127. There are ongoing talks about Environmental Practice becoming an Access programme for some environmental courses at Manchester University.
