Significant savings can be achieved relatively easily by: Monitoring vehicle and driver performance - set baseline fuel consumption standards, train for environmental driving Routing and Scheduling well worked out. Reducing Engine and aerodynamic drag losses - set accurate control of air flow, full roof fairing, Improving maintenance (esp tyres - having the right tyres properly inflated and bogie lifts on trailers)
