The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 places duties on employers and contractors to protect, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of employees and other people who may be affected by your work activities. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require all employers who share a workplace to co-operate with each other and co-ordinate their work to ensure everyone is complying with their legal duties.
