LO4. Who may need to know the significant findings and conclusions
The signifcant findings are those identified by the risk assessment process, and the conclusions are those that determined the particular control measures. Lone working (Unit 1 LO7) and emergency situations pose particular challenges on farms.
The significant findings will need to be communicated to both managers, whose attention needs to be drawn to concerns, and to supervised workers, who are at greater risk and thus need to be warned.
There may also be circumstances when somebody not in direct employment may need to know. Examples may include HS inspectors when there has bee a serious accident or neighbours when spraying.
