This online Environmental Practitioner Programme has been thoroughly tested for appropriateness at level 3 - for people who are the drivers between management and shopfloor.

The programme was tested 'offline' throughout many SMEs in the North West of England, first through BAE System supply chain, then through Bury BEA and finally with Wirrral Metropolitan College.

Many candidates successfully used the EP@W Environmental Practitioner Programme to provide evidence for the NCFE level 3 Award "Certificate in Environmental Practice"

The online materials work most successfully, in a 'blended learning' situation, where candidates can work online, carry out the activities in their own time, then meet up to exchange experiences.

A pilot was organised nationally by GMB union in order to test the online materials. Four participants, working in glass companies in St Helens, tested the materials and made extensive comments on their relevance and ease of use. Participating candidates used the activities carried out on the Environmental Practitioner Programme as evidence to achieve the level 3 NCFE Award "Certificate in Environmental Practice".
