Tasks
- Carry
out a SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats)
Analysis. This consists of two parts.
A. Do you consider the present position of your organisation's
environmental performance strong or weak? Look at at the
environmental perfomance in terms of each of the range statements.
e.g are you strong or weak on environmental legal compliance?
Say if you dont know.
B. Now, can you describe the possible opportunities and
threats for improving environmental performance in the future?
Again, look at each range statement.
e.g does employee involvement in improving environmental
performance pose a threat or an opportunity? Say if you
are not sure.
- Discuss
your views with colleagues, then write a short paragrah
on what you consider is going to be the main driver - legislation,
finance, employees or other stakeholders, in your organisation,
and what are the main threats and opportunities it poses.
