The law requires all employees to cooperate with their employers, as far as is necessary to enable the employer to carry out any duty or requirement imposed by statutory law (explain/link).

However cooperation could go much further than the basic legal requirements. In order to cooperate, there needs - by definition, both parties to agree on certain matters.
