People who work on the land can become ill due to a range of hazards they may come across while at work. These hazards can be biological, chemical or physical. Biological hazards can give rise to allergies, skin conditions and breathing problems. Chemical hazards such as pesticides may give rise to nerve disorders. Physical hazards, such as noise may give rise to permanent deafness.
