Operation Performance Indicators

OPIs show a measure of how well the process may be performing.

These would include input indicators, measuring raw material, or energy.

Operation or process indicators (OPIs) also measure throughput, such as energy efficiency.

Measures already made in your workplace - e.g. amounts of electricity, can be used as an OPI.

OPIs could be the actual amounts of contaminants released during a year.

A suitable OPI for waste could be the percentage of packaging recovered and reused without reprocessing.

Existing legal requirements, such as the amount of regulated consents to water, could also be used as an OPI.
