6 RETRENCHMENT

Develop a plan to mitigate the adverse impacts of retrenchment on employees, when anticipate the elimination of a significant number of jobs or a layoff of a significant number of employees.

The plan will

  • Be based on the principle of non-discrimination and
  • Will reflect consultation with employees, their organizations and, where appropriate, the government.
